The potential restart of an Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) or Oracle RAC One Node database instance is governed by a different feature provided by Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster deployment. The Oracle Restart feature is available via the Oracle Grid Infrastructure Standalone and the Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster deployment and will be applied to Single Instance Oracle Databases only. The Oracle Restart feature provides the ability to start, stop and restart an Oracle Database or Oracle ASM instance (if used) on the same server as part of the management provided by Oracle Grid Infrastructure. It may be removed without further notice in future. This note will remain in place for clarification purposes.
